Authors who wish to request a waiver or discount should contact the editorial office before or at the time of submission. Waiver requests will not influence the editorial or peer-review decision.
The applicable APC is determined by the manuscript type and is communicated clearly to the corresponding author. No publication fee is requested before editorial acceptance.
For questions regarding Article Processing Charges, please contact the editorial office.
Authors may request withdrawal of a manuscript before publication by contacting the editorial office.
Withdrawal requests made before the peer-review process has substantially progressed will generally not incur a withdrawal charge.
However, if a manuscript is withdrawn after substantial editorial processing, peer review, revisions, acceptance, or production work has been completed, a withdrawal charge may apply to compensate for the editorial and administrative resources already invested in processing the manuscript.
| Stage of Withdrawal | Withdrawal Charge (USD) |
|---|---|
| Before peer review begins | No charge |
| After peer review has begun | $150 |
| After acceptance | $159 |
| During production / after final proofs | $199 |
The applicable withdrawal charge will be communicated to the corresponding author before payment is requested.
Withdrawal charges do not apply when withdrawal is requested because of an error attributable to the journal or when the journal itself decides to withdraw or reject the manuscript.
Authors should not submit the same manuscript to another journal while it is under consideration at Clinics of Oncology. If an author withdraws a manuscript without informing the editorial office and subsequently publishes the same work elsewhere, the journal reserves the right to take appropriate editorial action.
